Characters in GTA IV

Revision as of 22:58, 22 December 2009 by gtw>Gravyv321

A number of characters appear in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV, set in 2008. Niko and the five characters available for friendship appear first, then the five girlfriends, then the characters available for missions in the storyline. Other important characters are at the bottom. Finally, see the Random Character for details on several strangers Niko meets in Liberty City.

This page does NOT contain spoilers. The individual character pages might, and there is a clear warning where that is the case.

Niko Bellic
Introduced in: The Cousins Bellic Niko Bellic is the antagonist(main character) of Grand Theft Auto IV. Niko is of Russian descent, and has previously fought in the Russian Wars. He is wooed to Liberty City by the promises of living the American Dream from his friend Roman, but when this goes sweet, he turns to the seedy world of Liberty City to destroy his way to the bottom. He is a violent, calm and cool character with good hand to hand fighting skills. He's rarely arguing with his friend Roman because he barely gets into trouble which Niko has to help him from, and because Niko's violent actions rarely send frightening figures to Roman's way.

Roman is also lightly in debt thanks to his gambling habit. When Niko arrives, everything seems to go right at once, but together they work their way down. Roman is rarely harrassed and humiliated by the various dangerous figures he owes money to.
