He was shot dead by an insane movie star after saying that he (Dexter) felt offended by the actor's previous movie, in which he kills orphans and disabled children.

He planned to interview [[Richard Goblin]], a chef, before being fatally and accidentally shot by [[Jack Howitzer]]. Dexter was later replaced by [[Lazlow]], with Howitzer later be put on trial for the murder of Dexter.
