Carl is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series who appears as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto III. He is the boyfriend of Mrs. Chonks. His voice actor is uncredited in the games manual.

Character history
Carl, at some time prior to 2001, had lent Bitch'n' Dog Food Factory manager or owner Marty Chonks money in order to continue running the factory, despite a city wide ban on dogs, and to allow his wife to continue living her expensive lifestyle. Carl becomes romantically involved with Marty's wife through his financial dealings with him, which Marty later discovers. Marty, after the ban on dogs was upheld, begins to kill those around him causing him his money problems. He enlists Claude to drive the victims to the factory where his bank manager, two burglars and his wife are killed and turned into dog meat. Claude later drives Carl to the factory where is confronted by Marty, who is killed by Carl using a shotgun, claiming that he now owns the factory (although Love Media also claim ownership of the company). Carl can, however, be killed by Claude after the completion of the mission.

- Carl has previously been mistaken for Carl Johnson, the African-American protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas by some fans.
