I have taken out alot of 'guesses' people made before it was released and confirmed the true parts and deleted the bull.

Niko later kills Vlad, upset that Vlad was attempting to begin a romantic relationship with Roman's girlfriend (Although it is clear that Niko also killed Vlad as a result of him always treating Niko with disrespect, and always referred to him by derogatory names).  Vlad was only a pawn compared to his boss, Mikhail Faustin.
