The Greenwood is a 4 door vehicle available in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. In GTA San Andreas, it is used quite often in the beginning of the game, spawning in front of Sweet's house in Ganton, and used as the primary transportation in several early missions. In GTA Vice City, the Greenwood plays a much smaller role, not being a significant part of any events in the story. A fire-proof Greenwood can be found in the mission Drive-Thru. The Greenwood bears a strong resemblance to an mid/late-80's Plymouth Gran Fury but the windows back door's windows have some influence from a Dodge Diplomat.

Performance

Acceleration and speed are highly lacking, but are compensated for in spades by the excellent handling. In fact, the Greenwood is considered by many to be one of the best-handling cars in GTA San Andreas. The front-engine, rear-drive vehicle is heavy and relatively sturdy, capable of withstanding a good deal of damage, making it a relatively solid choice for drive-bys and primary transport.

Modifications (GTA San Andreas)

  • Color (interior & exterior)
  • Hood scoops (Fury & Champ)
  • Nitro (all)
  • Roof scoops (Standard)
  • Spoilers (Worx & Pro)
  • Wheels (11 types)
  • Car Stereo
  • Hydraulics

Trivia

  • Sweet owns a blue Greenwood bearing "GROVE4L" (Grove for Life) on the rear license plate. This vehicle is extensively used and wrecked in several Los Santos missions, even blowing up at one point after crashing through a billboard and into a fuel tanker.
  • The Greenwood is the car of choice for the Grove Street Families, although in one mission Ballas are seen using it.
  • The Greenwood does not feature in GTA III, GTA Liberty City Stories or GTA IV.
