Hit the Pipe is a mission in GTA IV DLC The Lost and Damned. It is given by Jim Fitzgerald to Johnny Klebitz.
Description
Arriving at Jim's location you will be treated to a brief cutscene where you will be introduced to two members of the Uptown Riders, Malc and DeSean. You will be given some pipe bombs and told to destroy three AOD vans driving around Alderney.
Walkthrough
Drive to each van's location and get far enough in front of the van so that you or your bike aren't damaged by the explosion. Timing is everything; you need to cook the pipe bomb just enough and drop it at the right time so it explodes as the van runs over them. If you are having trouble, you do not have to use the pipe bombs to destroy the vans, any weapon will do. The individual AOD members aren't important, the vans are the target.
There is no time limit during this mission and the vans won't escape as vehicles do in most other missions, so you can leisurely take down all three.
Upon completion of the mission, pipe bombs will now be for sale from Terry's gun van and can also be requested from Jim.
Glitch
No matter which vehicle Johnny drives to the mission trigger point, he'll be driving the Hexer after the cut scene (so avoid driving a rare or prized vehicle to the mission if you don't want to lose it). If you prefer the speed and maneuverability of other bikes to the Hexer, you can request a new one from Clay before proceeding.
