This article is about the side-mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. For the vehicle, see Hotring Racer.

Hotring is one of the three events that takes place at Hyman Memorial Stadium in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. In this mission, Tommy drives a Hotring Racer and must complete the race, coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd. There is a pit for fixing a damaged car, and trying to explode the other cars doesn't work, as they just respawn. Of course, destroying a rival car will give you more time ahead of the others though, as long as it doesn't blow up right beside your car.

You must come in 1st place if you want 100% completion.

Cheating

You can cheat the race by eliminating the competition. Normally when you destroy an opponent's vehicle, the opponent will respawn in a dark area right next to the exit. Park your car in the corner of that area and destroy your opponents. Since your car is blocking the spawn point, the opponents' cars cannot spawn properly. After eliminating everyone, you can race without competition.
