Imponte is an automotive company first mentioned in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, since reused in Grand Theft Auto IV for a series of drivable vehicles. It is based on the real life General Motors marque Pontiac as the logo has an upside down triangle, much like Pontiac's arrowhead logo, and it manufactures performance vehicles. The Dukes and DF8-90 also feature emblems with crossed checkered flags that are similar to Chevrolet's high performance flags.
