Ivan the Not So Terrible is the fourth and final mission for Vlad in GTA IV. This is the first mission in the game to offer a choice of killing or sparing a person, and is the first to use ladders and jumping.

The mission starts with Vlad telling Niko that Ivan has upset Mikhail Faustin, his boss, and wants you to kill him. He's making Ivan rob Roman at his cab depot and wants you to kill him, so it seems like it's in defense. When you drive there Ivan is already leaving and speeding away so you have to chase him. After a small chase around Broker he gets out of his car and tries to run away up the stairs of a construction site. When he gets on top he jumps from building to building and when reaches his final one he falls and is hanging onto the catwalk.

If you manage to sneak the shots in and kill Ivan before he gets to the final point, you don't need to make any special choices. But if you wait until he gets to the edge, you have a choice of pulling him onto the building and letting him run away or knocking/shooting him off the ledge.

If you let him live then he'll come back as a random character. If you kill him, you have closely followed Vlad's instructions. This mission may be a refrence to Ivan The Terrible, a Nazi guard who was suspected of murdering Jews.
