Knife
The Knife is a weapon in GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV. It takes up the "melee" weapon slot.
Vice City
The knife can be found at the northernmost end of the series of backalleys that run through Ocean Beach, Vice Beach.
San Andreas
Usually it can be found on prostitutes near CJ's home or during a mission when CJ needs to steal Madd Dogg's rhyme book. CJ gets a knife also in the mission The Da Nang Thang when his chopper goes down and he looses his other weapons. Knife is more than just a simple melee weapon, if CJ sneaks behind someone and they don't notice him, he will execute a stealth kill, slitting the victim's throat. Useful when the player is trying to avoid detection and doesn't have a Silenced 9mm. The knife only produces one wanted star when used to stealth kill a police officer.
Liberty City
The Knife can be purchased at a back alley weapon store for $ amount of dollars. It is more powerful than attacking with your hands, and most enemies can be killed with a few slashes. You even stab enemies when they're on the ground.
