In it's latest appearance in [[Grand Theft Auto IV]], the Merit is redesigned with a similar look to the 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala with rear detailing seemingly inspired by a mid-90s Honda Accord and BMW 3 series. This car is also the standard base for some police and taxi cars, with the other older cars in the game using a look similar to the standard Ford Crown Victoria.
