There are many restricted areas throughout the Grand Theft Auto series. The player will gain an instant Wanted Level by entering these areas.

El Banco Corrupto Grande, a bank in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Washington Beach Police Station, the only accessable police station in Vice City (Player access will result in a 2-star wanted level unless wearing the Cop Uniform).
Area 69, a secret military research facility in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Easter Basin Naval Station, a military base in GTA San Andreas.
Francis International Airport airside area, an airport in Grand Theft Auto IV.
Civilization Committee complex, the international organization's headquarters in GTA IV.
Alderney State Correctional Facility, a prison only restricted in GTA IV's episodes.

-The main problem with exploring Restricted areas is that if you step inside or very close to them then you will instantly obtain a 5 Star Wanted Level. FBI vehicles will chase you so you will have to get to a Pay 'n' Spray quickly.
