The famous tank since GTA2 is back in SA. This time it has an orange desert skin instead of a green one from previous GTAs. You can aim the cannon by moving a mouse and fire it. Still, every vehicle explodes when it encounters a Rhino. The only way to destroy a Rhino is to either push it into deep water or set it on a fire.
Overview
Rhino is name of a tank since GTA3. In both GTA3 and Vice City it is very unrealistic - tall, with doors on both sides, that can be easily damadged with even slightest hit and truck-style 3-axle drivetrain with easily seen wheels. Turret was rotated by pressing buttons, which made precised shooting almost impossible. Since GTA San Andreas we know new Rhino, which looks like Abrams tank. It is coloured beige (desert camuflage), has normal tank entrance in front and new drivetrain with more small wheels, that looks almost like tracks. It has also new steering, that finally allows to make very tight turns. Turret is operated with mouse which allows to shoot directly at target.

Handling
First of all we need to say that old and new Rhino are totally diffrent.
Old, green one
Handling of this tank is terrible. It is very understeer, even at low speeds it's turns are horribly wide. Unlike to normal tank it has very poor acceleration, when maximum speed is normal for this kind of tanks. It has working handbrake, but because of big turning radius and dual rear axles it is difficult to tighten turns with it. Tank is quite bouncy, so it's wheels easily loose contact with ground. It's small ground clearance, bouncy suspension and low torque makes this tank very por when driving off road, or even through small barrier.
New, beige one
This tank has 2 sterring modes. Normal allows to make turns little better than trucks, and extra, activated with handbrake button, allows to make extra tight turns. It has little better off-road ablities, but it is still far from perfect. It has better acceleration and grip, but it still cannot go trough high obstacles. It handles better on road.

Tricks and useful information
Again we need to divide this because of difference between both tanks.
Old, green one
*When you rotate your turret back and start shooting you will be able to reach very high speeds. Watch out - it's handling is terrible!
*Even slightest touch of normal vehicle will make it explode, so you can destroy cars not only by ramming into it, but with little hits.
*Because you got doors and tank is slow you can be easily arrested by a policeman sticking his gun into your tank It is even more dangerous when you loose doors.
*Hitting other tanks will damadge you!
*Tank is rocketproof, but not flameproof. Set it on fire few times and it will explode.
New, beige one
*You can still use shooting behind you to accelerate, but you won't be able to see anything in front of you.
*Now damadge caused to other cars is determined from power you hit it. Slight touch will only push other cars, harder hits will make car smoking, or set in at fire, and hardest ones will immidietlay make it explode.
*Now it is difficult to arrest you in tank, but it is still possible!
*Hitting other tanks will damadge you!
*Tank is rocketproof, but not flameproof. Set it on fire few times and it will explode.

Missions
In tank you can make viligante missions, which means catching and killing suspects. Tank isn't best vehicle to do this missions because sooner or later you will be chased by army, which means other tanks ramming your tank and damadging it.
spoiler
In Vice City there is a mission in which you have to steal a tank. It's dorrs are closed, so you need to wait until driver will go out to buy some doughnuts, or kill guy on top of the tank.
