The Stinger in GTA 2.

The Stinger is a fast convertible, but not quite as good as a Cheetah. It handles great, responds well, and sticks to the road. This vehicle first appeared in the original Grand Theft Auto, but has also been in Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. For some reason the vehicle was left out of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, leaving no explanations why Rockstar Games decided not to include the Stinger.

In Grand Theft Auto 2, it's based on the Chevrolet Corvette, can only be found in the Industrial District of Anywhere City, and gives the Electrofingers power-up when crushed. On GTA III and on GTA Liberty City Stories it resembles a 1993 Porsche Boxster.

In Grand Theft Auto III the stinger is also the Yakuza's vehicle of choice, called the Yakuza Stinger.
