I think Giovanni Ancelotti could be based on real life don Vito Genovese Here is why I think this.

1. Both dons had a connection to the US Army in World War Two

2. Both of them ran black markets in Italy in World War Two.

I think there are more similarites but I am reading throught the article at the time I am making this comment. the black market detail just jumped out at me.Andrew nicholson 17:47, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

It sure is a coincidence that both Giovanni Ancelotti and Jon Gravelli took over following their uncle's deaths in 1978. Same year for the same reason. I think R* is getting a little repetitive with it's back stories.
