There, you just said it, it can carry VTOL aircraft, which aren't helicopters, hence "aircraft carrier".--Thescarydude 17:29, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
They are still classified as helicopter carriers. Helicopters are also aircraft and can land on an aircraft carrier but if you look at a picture of both an aircraft carrier or a LHD(Helicopter Carrier) you will see the difference and see which one resembles it more. I reccomend USS Wasp(LHD) and HMS Illustrious(aircraft carrier). Sorry but your messing with someone who has studied aircraft for most their life Candymanyyyy 22:54, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
Excuse me for my Ignorance, but I thought since 7 out of the 8 Wasp class ships support Harriers, they fell into the general "aircraft carrier" category, apparently not then.--Thescarydude 16:42, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Re-Write

I'm just going to do a total re-write here, just thought i'd post on the talk first. Ess-Tee 02:26, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Finished

Ok, i've done the re-write, some things may not be correct, as I tried to not change anything factual about it, just re-write it so that it could be better understood. The only thing I added in the way of facts were the Forklift/s in the lower deck/s, so I encourage anybody who thinks they could improve on my edit (it's not that hard :P) to please, do so for the good of the Wiki. SAM sites

I've flown over this a few times during the early part of the game and never been shot at with the SAMs. This is prior to Vertical Bird of course. It could just be me, but the ones at A69 still work fine... C-d-rom 12:53, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Aircraft Carrier
