i totally agree they should change it to M4, because that is what the game refers it too right?--[[User:Claude CJ Vercetti|Claude CJ Vercetti]] 01:53, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
::::I think calling it "M16 Variants" would be better. The AR-15 is a semi-auto civilian sporting rifle, not a military assault rifle. Every M16 variant that has been in a GTA game since GTA III have been full auto rifles and carbines. I do agree that an entire history of the weapon isn't needed on this page specifically and a Wikipedia link would satisfy those wanting to learn more. == M16A1 in GTA:SA ==
If possible, it'd be nice if someone could get a screengrab of the camouflaged M16A1 in SA as confirmation of its existence. [[User:Ghost Leader|Ghost Leader]] 06:14, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
== AR-15 in GTA V ==
I just want to point out that the upper receiver has the forward assist and brass deflector combined into one unit, so referring to it as an "M4A1 SBR" is incorrect because the name M4A1 refers to a specific weapon produced to pre-determined specifications and isn't a generic word for M16 carbines like it's commonly used as. The descr. also says that it hasn't been seen with any attachments yet, but this is also incorrect as it's been seen with a suppressor and a Magpul AFG2 angled foregrip.
