Hermes: Difference between revisions

The Hermes, appearing as a two-door coupe, is distinguishable by its large body but seemingly small occupant space. The car is evidently modified with its roof chopped down, enhancing the vehicle's hot rod-like appearance. The Hermes is based on a 1949-1951 Mercury Custom (explains the name), but what makes this car unusual is the fact that it has front wheel drive (no American cars in the era had it) and it can't be blown up with a single shot. The car's performance is described as average; its acceleration is underwhelming, but has moderate top speed. The car is also prone to understeer, owing to its size and small tires. As it only has two doors, the Hermes can only seat two.

In GTA: Vice City, the Hermes can be seen driving around the whole city, by regular people. In GTA San Andreas, the Hermes is commonly used by the [[Los Santos Vagos]] gang based in [[Los Santos]], particularly in [[East Beach]], [[Las Colinas]] and [[Los Flores]]. It can also be modified in [[TransFender]] in different aspects like wheels, hydraulics and nitrous.

In GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories, a gang version of the car driven by the [[Cubans]], dubbed the [[Cuban Hermes]], is commonly spotted in [[Little Havana]], [[Vice City]].
