::::::::{{Rebut}}Well, I was running from the LCPD in a municipal bus on the Plumber's SKyway, through Algonquin all the way to the airport, and all the cruisers crashing into something. the one's that didn't tried running me off the highway. BTW, the cruisers in GTA IV are based on a Chevy IMPALA and Crown Vic.

:::::::::{{Rebut}}The Police Cruiser can go that fast because it probably has a very low gear ratio, which also explains why the acceleration isn't that great too.

:::::::::{{Rebut}}Crown Vic Police Interceptor is a pretty quick car.  Back when GM was producing RWD Impalas for police fleets, many of them had Corvette engines.  Police cars do have suspension upgrades but still aren't going to handle as well as a supercar, of course.  The thing is, in real life speed isn't everything.  The cops just need to keep you in view and stay in touch with dispatch.  Plus, super cars really aren't designed to go as fast as they do on city streets.  Potholes and debris on the road would be lethal.  A vehicle with more ground clearance can handle that kind of stuff a lot better.

:::{{Rebut}}Wait, what kind of security guards have a gun in the first place, unless they're the Secret Service or something? Some security guards do not have the authority to kill civilians, even if they are committing a crime. That's the police department's job.

::::{{Gripe}}Where I live, there are lots of armed security guards.  Some of them are more heavily armed than the PD.  They have shot and killed several people with no criminal repercussion that I know of (but these people were trespassing on private property).  They're almost always sued in civil court by the victims' families afterward.  The elite private security firms are composed mostly of ex-military and ex-police.  Laws vary from state to state, I'm sure, but where I live you can hire a private army.
:::::{{Rebut}} I think its because the game confuses the guards for regular pedestrian. It happens to me all the time. Hope this helps!

::::::{{Gripe}}No, it did'nt help at all. Cops always mistake security guards for a gang member, and the security guard always attempts to shoot me on purpose, just to get the cops/other gangs attention. That's another unrealistic attempt by Rockstar Games.
