'''The Big Ear''' is a large radio telescope located in [[Bone County]], [[State of San Andreas|San Andreas]]. This enormous structure is a prominent feature of the surrounding desert landscape, and can be seen from miles around. Its emissions are no less gargantuan, apparently powerful enough to cause local children to be born without ears. The Big Ear is a replica of the structure by the same name that was part of [[wp:Ohio State University|Ohio State University]]'s [[wp:SETI|SETI]] project that was designed to search for extraterrestrial radio transmissions. Planes will sometimes crash into the satellite dish, and one of [[Carl Johnson|CJ]]'s [[Girlfriends in GTA San Andreas|girlfriends]], [[Barbara Schternvart]], will sometimes comment about a plane crash there. It may also be a parody of the "Very Large Array" collection of satellites.
