Rockstar New England, formerly Mad Doc Software, is a computer game development company owned by Take-Two Interactive. The company was founded by Dr. Ian Lane Davis, an expert in artificial intelligence, and incorporated new networking graphics and AI technologies into their video games (such as Empire Earth II). The company is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts in the United States of America and has approximately one hundred employees. The company worked with Rockstar Games while porting Bully (also known as Canis Canem Edit) to the Xbox 360 as Bully: Scholarship Edition. On April 4, 2008, during this process, the company was purchased by Take-Two Interactive and it became a subsidiary of Rockstar Games. Since being purchased, Rockstar New England has focused on helping other studios with video games and has not worked on a video game of their own.
