Hey, thanks for your [[Special:Contributions/Tommy-Vercetti|edits]]. You are right, this wiki does need a lot of proof-reading. Anyone can edit here, and some things that were badly-written years ago still exist. This wiki is built entirely by its users, and relies entirely on them to improve it. So just keep fixing the problems you see, and let me know if you have any questions. Keep up the good work! [[User:Gboyers|Gboyers]] 03:17, 14 April 2011 (BST)

Those crazy links are called "interwiki" links, which link to the same page but on a different wiki. It's mostly used so that people can find the same page in a different language (such as on the Spanish GTA Wiki); so obviously on the Spanish wiki the title of that page will be in Spanish.
For example, if you look [http://gta.wikia.com/Tommy_Vercetti here], at the very very bottom, just under the categories, you can see a little "Languages:" section. If you [http://gta.wikia.com/index.php?title=Tommy_Vercetti&action=edit&section=9 edit] the bottom of that page, you can see all the interwiki links added (such as <code><nowiki>[[es:Tommy Vercetti]]</nowiki></code>). Instead of showing up on the page as normal blue links, they are transformed into interwiki links in that list.
Now, the problem is that since we moved away from Wikia, I removed all the interwiki shortcuts that go to Wikia wikis. This means that any interwiki link is not recognised, and it is just treated as a normal link. I haven't yet decided what the best method of action is. At the moment, ignore them, don't bother removing them, we'll figure something out. [[User:Gboyers|Gboyers]] 01:07, 30 April 2011 (BST)
