The family's criminal empire is based in Alderney City and Algonquin, mainly around the Little Italy area. They are apparently the weakest of the Five Families, going to the extent of hiring Albanian thugs for extra muscle. Because of this, the Ancelottis are often the target of the Pegorino Family and their hired muscle, the Irish Mob. Despite the family's small size, they still appear to be able to intimidate people, judging by some of the in game dialogue. This could be due to things that they have done in the past that remain as of yet unexplained. They also start to work with the Faustin Family, earning the wrath of the Gambetti Family, who consider it an insult to work with foreign crime syndicates. After the events of the storylines, the family is ruined. Most of the reputed members have been murdered, apart from the boss, his daughter Gracie, and made man Rocco. ==Reputed members and associates== ===Known Members=== *Giovanni Ancelotti- Boss. *Charles Matteo- Underboss. *Anthony Spoleto- Caporegrime. *Frank Garone- Caporegrime. *Rocco Pelosi- Soldier. *Vince- Enforcer. ===Associates=== *Anthony Prince- Nightclub entrepreneur. *Luis Fernando Lopez- Anthony Prince's bodyguard and business partner. *Gracie Ancelotti- Giovanni's daughter. ==Notes== The Ancelotti family may be based on the Colombo crime family, the least influent family of New York, even though the Colombos are just based in Brooklyn and don't have a heavy influence in New Jersey. Like the Colombo family the Ancelottis are one of the smaller families of New York City. ==Trivia== *It's possible the family ended after the end of Grand Theft Auto IV because Rocco left the city after Departure Time and two Capos, the Underboss and several members were killed by Niko Bellic. *During the mission Chinese Takeout, Gay Tony says they are "One of the most powerful mob families in the city", despite them ironically being the weakest. *It is possible that the buyers in the mission If the Price is Right are the Ancelottis since they are known to be in the business of dealing drugs with Dimitri Rascalov and the Russian Mafia. *The family's main/favorite car is the Cognoscenti, seen driven more by them then anybody. Gangs GTA IV Gangs

Special Abilities

From Grand Theft Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

In Grand Theft Auto V, Special Abilities are unique abilities given to Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton, and Trevor Philips. Each protagonist has his own specialty; however, they are activated in the same manner by depressing both thumbsticks at the same time. Each character's special ability is denoted by a gold meter below the Radar. This meter drains as a character's special ability is used and is replenished in various ways. The special ability lasts until the meter is empty, or it can be deactivated at any time by depressing both thumbsticks again.

Michael

As a skilled marksman, Michael's special ability allows him to slow down time when using a firearm to pick off targets with ease, an ability called Bullet Time, an effect also from the Max Payne series and known as Dead-Eye in the Red Dead series. Michael's special ability can only be activated on foot, and the meter is replenished by driving at high speeds and performing special kills such as headshots and stealth takedowns.

Franklin

As a skilled driver, Franklin's special ability allows him to slow down time while driving to perform tricky maneuvers such as evading traffic and cornering at high speeds, similar to the "Zone" ability in the Midnight Club series. Franklin's ability can also assist him in drive-by shooting. Franklin's special ability can only be activated in road vehicles and cannot be used in watercraft or aircraft, and the meter is replenished by preforming driving stunts such as driving at high speeds, facing oncoming traffic and narrowly avoiding collisions.

Trevor

As a drug-addled sociopath, Trevor's special ability allows him to enter "rage mode", dealing double damage to enemies and making him near invulnerable to damage, allowing him to survive certain situations that would otherwise kill him, such as falling from a great height or standing too close to an explosion; however, Trevor is still susceptible to ragdolling while in rage mode. Trevor's special ability can only be activated on foot, and the meter is replenished by driving at high speeds, killing enemies and taking damage.
