Re:Excuse Me?

In reply to Excuse Me?

The reference to Toni Cipriani being a caporegime in the Ray Machowski article was not necessary for the article, so that's why I removed it. As for the Leon McAffrey article that was a mistake for which I apologise and it has now been reverted back to your edit. I've been doing mass editing, which is rather tiresome and caused my rather lazy actions last night. I will say though that the headings (1998 and 2001) should remain, simply as a way to display the different games storylines. A-Dust 20:27, 22 September 2011 (BST)

Liberty State Penitentiary

Hey, you're right that Liberty State Penitentiary isn't enough for an article at the moment. I can't remember if the prison is an actual building, or if it's just mentioned as where Claude was. If it's a building, you could add the following:

 • Which game/s it features in
 • The precise location
 • Description of the building
 • Description of the interior (if relevant)
 • Description of its functionality (if any)
 • Any vehicles or NPCs that spawn there
 • What missions it's featured/mentioned in
 • Whether it's mentioned on any radio stations or billboards etc
 • Screenshots & videos

If it's not a building and it's just mentioned, then we can't have more than 2 sentences (what game it's in + what missions it's mentioned in), so there's no real point in having the article. If that's the case, we can redirect the article to the Give Me Liberty page, in case anyone searches for it. Make sense? gboyers talk 02:31, 18 October 2011 (BST)

TGTAP account

Hey Awc, out of curiosity, do you have an account on The GTA Place?--MrLanceVanceDance (talk) 11:50, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

I asked you that question because there is a user on The GTA Place that has the same username as you. I was curious to see if you and that user were the same people.--MrLanceVanceDance (talk) 01:33, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

Re: Regarding Missions in GTA Vice City

In reply to Regarding Missions in GTA Vice City

I based that edit on the Missions in GTA Vice City page, assuming the information on there was correct. Although it is entirely possible that the information on the individual mission page was, in fact, correct instead. I'll do some research and see what I can discover. I've checked a few walkthroughs on GameFAQS, and it would appear that you were right: Check Out isn't unlocked until Shakedown has been completed. I'll go ahead and correct all relevant pages. Christophee (talk) 00:13, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Mitt Fitzsimmons and the LCPD

If you can name a single article with his name in it, I would be happy to leave the page as it stands. This site has copies of all the Liberty Tree articles and in every single one the Police Commissioner has no name. Also, why did you revert my edits to the LCPD page? The only ranks that are ever mentioned in the game (largely in news articles) are Officer, Detective and Lieutenant - all the other ones are just speculation based upon the NYPD. --SawDN94 (talk|edits) 04:16, 26 July 2013 (BST)

Fitzsimmons' name is mentioned on other sites as well. I don't think Alderney has an independent state police and should be accepted as being a state division of the LCPD. There's even an article in TLAD referencing some officers in Alderney as the LCPD. Awc (talk|edits) 04:33, 26 July 2013 (BST)
Can you identify where exactly Fitzsimmons is mentioned in the game? I am convinced that it is fabricated because a quick Google search will show that the only other places this name comes up is a GTA IV multiplayer clan website, a fan fiction story and a user-created mission pack. The articles on Fitzsimmons on both Grand Theft Wiki and GTA Wiki were both created by the same user (A-Dust), and at around the same time. The police officers that are specific to Alderney have a distinct uniform with a patch saying State Police. They clearly share police stations and cars with the LCPD, but they are separate - they don't appear at all in Liberty City proper. Liberty Tree articles and www.whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com refer to the game's location as the Liberty City metropolitan area or the Greater Liberty City Area (analogous to the New York metropolitan area, which takes in multiple states), so it appears that the LCPD has jurisdiction in this area and not just the city itself. In real life, this is called an interstate compact and could explain why there is a police force active in a metropolitan area that crosses a state line. The LCPD seems to share duties in what we see of Alderney with the State Police of Alderney. --SawDN94 (talk|edits) 04:49, 26 July 2013 (BST)

Re:Spacing

In reply to Spacing

I have noticed this problem, too. One non-preferred fix is to put

where you want the paragraphs separated, but that would take too much time and effort to do to every article, and it just wouldn't look right. I believe there's something in the wiki's programming code that needs to be fixed, so for this I would have you direct the question to gboyers. -Ian Phoenixtalk 01:04, 14 August 2013 (BST)
