The ~~Cartel~~ arrive ~~from two entrances, and~~ [[~~Claude~~]] ~~is allowed~~ to ~~use~~ the weapons ~~around~~ the ~~Army Surplus~~, but ~~he must get them quickly before~~ the ~~Cartel gangs arrive~~. ~~The Cartel are slain by~~ the ~~two~~, and Claude can ~~now go to~~ Phil Cassidy'~~s Army Surplus to purchase powerful weapons such as~~ the ~~[[M16]],~~ the ~~[[Rocket Launcher]]~~, and [[~~Shotgun~~]]~~, now becoming very expensive for purchase~~. ~~Claude can also jack the~~ [~~[Barracks OL~~]~~], and the~~ [[~~Tank~~]] ~~after beating the game.~~

'''Arms Shortage''' is a mission in ''[[Grand Theft Auto III]]'' given by [[Ray Machowski]] to protagonist, [[Claude]].

==Plot==

Claude goes to see Ray in the toilet block in [[Belleville Park]]. Ray informs him of an old friend, [[Phil Cassidy]] being in trouble with the [[Colombian Cartel]] and needs someone to back him up. Claude drives to [[Staunton Island Military Base|Phil's base]] in [[Rockford]]. Phil says the Colombians will arrive any minute and Claude then picks up everything he needs for surviving the shoot-out. The Colombians after a while arrive in [[Cartel Cruiser]]s and the gunfight begins. Phil and Claude manage to clear out the wave of Colombians and Phil tells Claude that he can come back any time to get upgraded military weapons.
