Charge Island is rather undeveloped, most likely because it is too small to house services that will prosper with a large sphere of influence.  Furthermore, its main use seems to be housing the structure and support for the huge East Borough Bridge, and a huge Water Treatment Facility.  Because of this, Charge Island is quiet and possesses no important features. It does however possess a cargo dock, fuel repository, a boathouse, and even an oil tanker. The island is used twice, in the missions [[Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend]] and [[Catch the Wave]] and will likely be featured again in the upcoming DLC, [[The Ballad of Gay Tony]].
Charge Island is entirely dedicated to industrial activity, the enormous East Borough Bridge and sewage treatment facility making it decidedly unappealing for residential development; in addition to the abovementioned bridge foundations and sewage works, the island features a boathouse, cargo dock and fuel repository, with an oil tanker docked there at the time of [[GTA IV]].
