Sayonara Salvatore is a mission in Grand Theft Auto III given to protagonist Claude by Asuka Kasen.

Plot

Salvatore Leone recently set Claude into a trap and betrayed him. Claude now wants revenge and is going to work for the Yakuza. But leader Asuka wants Claude to show his loyalty and that his ties with the Leone family are broken by asking him to kill Salvatore who is leaving Luigi's club.

Walkthrough

Salvatore is leaving Sex Club 7 in three hours time from the moment you take the mission. Once the cutscene is over get in a car parked around and drive all the way to Red Light District, or take a boat from the nearby dock and take to Portland. Once you're there, you can choose how to kill Salvatore. The easiest and safest route is to stand on the roof-top of Woody's Topless Bar opposite of the Sex Club 7, take out a Sniper Rifle, and wait for him to come out. You must then snipe him before he gets in his car. You can also wait for him to get in one of the Mafia Sentinel's which are parked across the street and either blow up his car with a rocket launcher, or by performing a drive-by until his car bursts into flame. You could also aquire a rhino and use it to destroy his vehicle. You can also attempt the risky route of running up to Salvatore and shooting him. Once you pass this mission, the Leone's will become violent towards you and shoot at you whenever you are on their turf.

Asuka Kasen: We have certain issues to clear up before we can continue any form of relationship, business or otherwise. Let's lay our cards on the table. I am Yakuza and I know you've been working for Salvatore Leone's family. I can give you work with our organization. But first you must prove to me that your ties with the Mafia are truly broken. Salvatore Leone will be leaving Luigi's in about three hours time. Make sure he doesn't reach his club alive. Meanwhile Maria and I will catch up on old times.

Maria: Oh.. Asuka, you've got a massager.

Asuka Kasen: That's not a massager.

Reward

The reward for completing this mission is $25,000 as well as the Leone's becoming violent towards you, so you'll have to stay away from St. Marks , unless you want to risk yourself into visiting Portland Island again, to search for hidden packages.
