This is a list of deceased characters in the GTA 1/2 era. Deaths will appear in the most logical order. This list does not include unidentified civilians, police officers, or gang members, though it does include several unnamed characters who are the focus of a single mission, though not ones that are only the focus of one part of the mission (for example, in one early mission in GTA 1, the protagonist is tasked with assassinating the unnamed chief of police of Liberty City, but in a later mission, they are told to kill an unnamed cop at the end of the mission, so while the chief would be included on the list, the cop would not).
