OpenGTA is an open source implementation of the GTA 1 engine. The goal is an original Grand Theft Auto game on multiple platforms and add some own enhancements.

The license forbids commercial usage to avoid conflict with DMA Design / Rockstar Games and is therefore doesn't confirm with the Open Source Definition. The original GTA gamefiles are still required, but can be downloaded officially for free.
