The mission can be accessed after completing the mission [[An Old Friend]], and the start location is at Ken Rosenberg's office in the [[Washington Beach]] district of [[Vice City]]. The mission begins with a cut-scene, which involves Ken Rosenberg and Tommy Vercetti discussing what they are going to do, following a failed cocaine trade in [[Viceport]], which resulted in three people dying. Ken Rosenberg is obviously shook up, refusing to leave his office for fear of retaliation from [[The Forellis]]. [[Sonny Forelli]] in particular. That and the fact that his appartment is on the other island which is blocked off. Ken Rosenberg sends Tommy Vercetti to a party being hosted by retired Colonel, [[Colonel Juan Garcia Cortez|Juan Garcia Cortez]]. Ken Rosenberg instructs Tommy Vercetti to go to Rafael’s, a clothing store in [[Ocean Beach]]. Tommy asks "What's wrong with the way I'm dressed?" Ken replies "Hey, I like 1978 too, but, you know, this isn't gonna be a beer and strippers do."
===Brief===
After [[Sonny Forelli]] orders you to find out who ruined your deal, kill them, get back the coke and get back the money, Ken Rosenberg suggests you go to talk with the guy who organized the deal, [[Colonel Juan Garcia Cortez]], who is right now having a party in his yacht. But first, you will need a different atire.  


The player then gets control of Tommy Vercetti outside of Ken Rosenberg's office, and the player must make their way to Rafael’s. Tommy walks into Rafael’s and comes out wearing a light blue/mauve pastel suit, and a paer of loafers. A biker pulls up on the other side of the street, Tommy watches, commenting about his bike (Nice bike!). The player regains control of Tommy Vercetti, and must now make their way to Colonel Cortez's yacht, which is also located in Washington Beach. The player can choose any means to get there, although if they take the [[Freeway]] left by the biker, the biker will chase after saying "My bike".

Get a car and drive to [[Rafael's]] fancy clothes shop, you will be given a soiree outfit. A guy will park his [[Freeway]] bike nearby, steal it and then drive to the Colonel's boat.


After getting to the dock area of Washington Beach, the player must then enter the pink halo in order to begin the next cut-scene, which is of the party. The cutscene begins with Tommy Vercetti and Colonel Cortez talking about the ambushed cocaine deal, and Cortez reveals he has started his own investigation into what happened. Cortez excuses himself to see to his guests, but asks his daughter [[Mercedes Cortez]] to show Tommy around.
After a cutscene which introduces most of the game's characters, (among them: [[Colonel Cortez]], [[Mercedes Cortez]], [[Avery Carrington]], [[Donald Love]], [[BJ Smith]], [[Alex Shrubb]], [[Candy Suxxx]], [[Kent Paul]], [[Jezz Torent]], [[Gonsalez]], [[Steve Scott]], [[Pastor Richards]] and [[Ricardo Diaz]]), the Colonel's daughter, Mercedes Cortez, will ask you to take her to the Pole Position Club. Take her there and it's mission complete.

Mercedes takes Tommy around the yacht to see the big players in Vice City, which include: [[Congressman Alex Shrub]] (Congressman), [[Candy Suxxx]] (Porn Star), [[BJ Smith]] (Football Player), [[Avery Carrington]] (Real-Estate Mogul), [[Donald Love]] (Carrington's Apprentice/Assistant), [[Jezz Torrent]] (Lead-Singer in the rising band LoveFist), [[Steve Scott]] (Film Director; mostly pornography), [[Pastor Richards]] (Corrupt Pastor), and [[Gonzales]] (Cortez's Right-Hand Man). Then [[Ricardo Diaz]] shows up and talks with Colonel Cortez, prompting Tommy to ask, "Who's the loudmouth?" Ricardo Diaz attempts to get to talk to Mercedes, who quickly makes the excuse of escorting Tommy back into town. Mercedes quickly leaves, and then asks Tommy to drive her to the [[Pole Position Club|Pole Position]], a strip club (also in Washington Beach). There are various cars to choose from ([[Stretch]], [[Cheetah]], and the [[Freeway]]. The player must then drive Mercedes to the club. Along the way Mercedes flirts with Tommy. The mission finishes with a cut-scene of Mercedes entering the Pole Position club.

The Party is the first mission played for Ken Rosenberg in the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Brief

After Sonny Forelli orders you to find out who ruined your deal, kill them, get back the coke and get back the money, Ken Rosenberg suggests you go to talk with the guy who organized the deal, Colonel Juan Garcia Cortez, who is right now having a party in his yacht. But first, you will need a different atire.

The Mission
