Hi, thanks for your message. [[Special:NewFiles|Images]] seem to be working fine - can you provide an example of one that isn't showing up? By "Category tab" do you mean the section at the bottom of the edit box? If so, you can add categories manually simply by linking to them - see [[Help:Categories]] for more info. Try clearing your cache, or trying a different web browser. If problems persist, let me know whether it happens on every wiki (eg wikipedia, other wikias) or just here.
