I'm doing the Paleto Bay heist in GTA V with Packie on my crew and when talking about the Bank of Liberty that he pulled with Niko and his brothers, he says "God rest his soul" when referring to Derrick. So it would seem Derrick is the one that Niko canonically kills in GTA IV.
