:::::::I didn't mean that Packie would know if Niko had killed Derrick, I'm saying that something else could have happened to him and killed Derrick. Considering the state he's in in GTA IV, it's not hard to believe. For all we know, Derrick and Francis could both be dead; Packie wouldn't say "God rest his soul" speaking of Francis, whom he hated. To be clear, Packie in GTA V only tells you that Derrick is dead, not that he died by Niko, and we don't know whether Francis is alive. If evidence was found that Francis really is alive, then that would confirm that Niko's canon choice was to kill Derrick.
