Some time after the games release people reported to have seen the legendary '[[Leatherface]]' who is a killer with a chainsaw from the film [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Texas_Chainsaw_Massacre The Texas Chainsaw Massacre]. The myth has generated large amounts of hype and hunts to find the killer. Given the nature of the camp, mainly because of the old sawmill and bloodstains in its cabins, it has been attributed as one of the locations where Leatherface may appear. Indeed, at night time and in a storm the area can seem rather scary, hence giving rise to rumours as any mysterious place would.

== Trivia ==
*The Panopticon was the name of a maximun security cell in which Ed Gein, in who Leatherface was based, was rumoredly being held after his arrest. This caused several rumors about the killer really being in the game. Curiously, Ed Gein was never in The Panopticon. It might had been a coincidence.
