Talk:The Job

The jumpsuits and masks worn by the crew in the game is an obvious reference to the film Heat starring Al Pacino and Val Kilmer (among others). How come this isn't mentioned? Ghost Leader (talk|edits) 04:12, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Reward

I remember from experience, and I've seen on various walkthroughs, that the reward is only $30,000 if Cam survives the mission, but $50,000 if he dies. However, every video I've seen of the mission on YouTube shows Cam surviving and the player still getting $50,000. Does this depend on which version of the game is being played? I can't think of any other explanation. Christophee (talk) 19:33, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

I've never heard anything or read anywhere that the reward will change under any circumstances, in fact, only the opposite. Every time I have played it myself I have gotten $50,000, no matter whether Cam lived or died. Andreaz1 (talk|edits) 19:43, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
I looked through the walkthroughs on GameFAQs and most of them list the reward as $50,000, but about 4 or 5 of them list the reward as $30,000. None of them say the reward can vary though. The only source I can find for that is here. I have recently started a new game on Vice City, and I really want to do this mission both ways and see whether my memory is playing tricks on me or not. I completed the mission twice earlier, once with Cam dying, and once with him surviving, and I got $50,000 both times. Apparently my memory must be playing tricks on me. I guess the 'more for us' dialogue when he dies must have thrown me. Still, it doesn't explain why some sites and walkthroughs list the reward as $30,000, but I don't have any way of explaining that.
