Episodes, also known as Episodic Content or Downloadable Content are downloads for Grand Theft Auto IV that put extra missions, areas, weapons, and more onto the standard game. Currently, one episode has been released and it is only available for the Xbox 360 version of the game, through Xbox Live. It is not presently known whether there are any plans to port this or the planned second episode to other video game systems.
In The Lost and Damned, the episodic content completely alters the storyline and characters. There are also added weapons and other new items.

- The Lost and Damned - featuring criminal biker Johnny Klebitz and his biker buddies. Released February 17th 2009.
- GTA IV Episode 2 - as of yet unnamed, but rumored to feature criminal Luis Fernando Lopez and planned to be released in the later half of 2009.
