Margot Summers (1980 - 2008) is a character in The Ballad of Gay Tony who hooked up with Luis Fernando Lopez in 2007. Luis ended the "relationship" when he revealed that he didn't want to get married. Afterwards, she stalked and became obsessed with him. Her father told her that Luis was a bad influence, but her crazy mental obsession with Luis made her send constant e-mails, phone calls, and gifts.

She was encountered on the streets by Luis in front of Hercules (although it is implied she waited there for him knowing he works there) and, after stressing him out about his denial of her constant gifts, told him that she took 37 painkillers and 15 sleeping pills. Very annoyed, but still worried for her safety, Luis rushed Margot to the emergency room of the Lancet-Hospital Center to have her stomach pumped.

Upon release from hospital, she was encountered a second time at Pier 45 holding onto a handrail and ready to jump from two stories, claiming that Luis would save her if she jumped. Before jumping, Margot damns Luis' debaucherous lifestyle, calling him a "shell" of a person, and holds a note stating that he is (physically and emotionally) responsible for her death as the letter apparently states he pushed her off. Luis pleaded with her that she needn't kill herself for him and attempted to stop her, but she leaped out of his reach to her death. A crowd of bystanders surrounding the pier believed that Luis pushed her (ironically, bringing the suicide note to fruition), forcing him to outrun an angry mob and the police.

Trivia

  • It can be assumed that Margot didn't actually take any pills before her first encounter. The reason being she will stay alive no matter how long the player takes to get her to the hospital. Therefore she may have just set up the charade for the attention.
  • During her second encounter, if the player points a gun at her before triggering the cutscene, she will let go and fall to her death.
  • If the player runs fast enough to push Margot before the cutscene, when walking to where she landed after the cutscene, there will be 2 of her bodies.
  • In cutsprops.img, a file called csletter.wdr can be found, and if you click Edit in Spark IV, it will show the textures. It is believed that this is the letter Margot was holding in her death cutscene. It reads:
