Sure, that's fine with me, but can you give inspectors the right to delete articles that has been proposed for deletion, but the general public want it deleted (like four or more people want it gone)? Also, can you give inspectors the right to delete unused images taht have been proposed for deletion?--MrLanceVanceDance 01:04, 9 October 2011 (BST)

:No. As I said, those are decisions that only administrators should make (for many reasons). Remember that we do NOT make decisions by voting on this site - it is always a staff member that makes the final decision. This is because it is very easy for someone to create 5 accounts and vote 5 times (or get 5 friends to make accounts and vote); and also because the votes of 4 or 5 people are not representative of the 1,160 people who have used GTW over the past year. I've not spoken to other staff members yet, but I would be happy to give Inspectors deletion powers ONLY to be used for spam/vandalism, 100% obvious no-possible-disagreement deletion situations, or where they've checked with an administrator before acting. These powers must NOT be used for situations like proposed deletions, unnecessary/duplicate pages, unused images etc. Any abuse of that right (at all) will result in it being permanently withdrawn or more serious action, as I have to be able to trust all the staff here. Is that understood? gboyers talk 01:24, 9 October 2011 (BST)
