The '''BMX''' is the most commonly found bike in the [[State of San Andreas]] and the only bicycle in [[Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories]]. It's main advantages are that it has good handling for a bike, and it can do super high bunny-hops (with shorter hops in ''Vice City Stories''), along with wheelies and stoppies. Its disadvantages are its poor speed (when compared to the [[Mountain Bike]]). The bike is also not meant for off-roading use, and the player can endure injuries when using this bike for that purpose. The BMX is not recommended for getaways when pursued by cops. All in all, it is a well suited bike and a very fun means of transportation. The BMX is the first available vehicle in [[Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas]] and is used on the first couple of missions by [[Carl Johnson]] and his [[Grove Street Families|Grove Street]] friends.

While the GTA San Andreas rendition consists only of the bare essentials, the GTA Vice City Stories rendition comes with padding on portions of the frame; GTA Vice City Stories even features a girly variation of the BMX, which features a [[wp:step-through frame|step-through frame]] (as opposed to a [[wp:Bicycle frame|diamond frame]]), a pink frame color and a front mounted basket. The GTA Vice City Stories rendition features larger wheels and higher handlebars, appearing larger than the GTA San Andreas rendition.
