:I like to observe people's edits over a couple of weeks before I promote them - especially since a surprising number of people just do a lot of good editing around the time of nomination. Letting it drag out a week or so usually smokes out those editors who aren't in it for the long-run. Just remember that there's not much that you need to be promoted for - you can still do 99% of the work whilst a normal user. Helping out with some [[Tasks]] is a good way to prove you're capable, and would make it easier for me to choose people :). Please be aware that we're looking for [[Moderators]] currently, it's unlikely that anyone else will go direct to Admin unless I know they can handle some of the tricky situations that we need Admins for. But again, doing [[Tasks]] makes that decision easier, and puts you perfectly in line for the next promotion up! I'll sort this out over the next day or two. I think they should be merged, because when I started editing them, I thought the businesses category was just the general category for every one companies, corporations, everything. Then they are obviously refering to it as a company and not to it's advertisments. For Businesses, I think Shops should be a subcategory. Not every single business needs to be in category:businesses, it's completely useless if it's that full. Adverts should be full of images, unless there are articles which specifically relate to an advertisment. It's not "companies which have ads". Commercials should refer to radio commercials, and that can be a sub-category of ads as well as a sub-category of radio stations. I agree. But if you look at [[:Category:Vehicles]] or [[:Category:Stores]] now, it's a huge category, and not all of the sub-categories show up on the first page, making it sort of pointless. Using Stores to contain all the categories and lists, and have a separate category for "all stores" would solve this problem. I agree with Chimpso, but I'm starting to have second thoughts. Maybe we should drop the stores category, and just use the general businesses, and then the subcategories of each game (Businesses in GTA III, and so on). I think we should do the same with all the subcategories dealing with types (adult businesses, strip clubs, food, restaurants, all those. We should definitely keep the real-life businesses category, but change it to real businesses or something. All the different ones are coming more difficult to manage. :You should leave the talk page if there has been any form of discussion or useful information. If it's empty apart from just "delete this article" or "why is this here" then it's not useful and you can delete it. I'm not saying that redirects aren't useful, I just wanted them to be categorized so I could go through them easier. This is easier for me to see which ones shouldn't even be here (misspelling, made up names). Really I just think that using a redirect on a page seems kind of "lazy". My doing of the "fixing" hasn't left them unusable. They can still be typed into the search box. I highly doubt someone would type in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, instead of GTA LCS, or something shorter. Redirects that have both different kinds of English (Armour, Armor, Colour, Color) we should keep. Made up titles like these: (Forelli Lexcess, Carl Johnson's Willowfield Home), and others. As far as these go, I'm only keen to have redirects that are ''actually'' mentioned by in-game name. Isn't that part of the style guide to have information as consistent with the game(s) as possible? Really with the redirects category I just finished a little while ago. The misspellings such as Pay n Spray aren't misspellings, they just don't have correct punctuation. If it's alright could we switch back to the standard businesses category? It seems more suitable to manage. Than with the all businesses, and all stores. I think we should cut down to the business category, and it's subcategories, instead of having another category for stores. What was said above about using the game specific categories (like we did with the missions) should be done for all pages. I also think we should delete some of the business types, since they are a minor feature and in my opinion we don't really need to have more subcategories for their type. And as far as redirects go, I can let these go, I wasn't really making it a priority. But there are still some things that can confuse me, hopefully you can explain these to me:

I have been having some trouble with the GTW banner. The problem it ''it takes forever to load''! I have dial-up, which is part of the problem, but even on other broadband computers I have tried, it still takes some time to load. I have to leave my computer alone for about 5-8 minutes for the banner to fully load. Is there any way that you can modify the banner to make it more friendly to people with slower connections?
