Bank Job

The Bank Job refers to an outfit in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City intended for used in masked bank heists.

Description

The Bank Job outfit is designed specially to conceal the player character's identity during the bank heist in "The Job", and as such, consists of a hockey mask that completely covers the face and a green jumpsuit; like many other outfits in the game, the outfit incorporates a pair of white sneakers derived from the player's default Street clothes. Other members in the heist, including Phil Cassidy, Cam Jones, and Hilary King, also don near-identical attires, in true fashion of an organized bank heist.

As mentioned, the Bank Job outfit is primarily featured during "The Job", when it is worn just outside El Banco Corrupto Grande, which has been targeted for the robbery. The player will continue to wear the attire throughout the heist, up until the player finally escapes by entering Cam's Can Openers and changes to the Soiree after the mission. The Bank Job is then made available in the management floor of the Malibu Club (along with a Knife) from thereon out.

Changing into the outfit removes up to a two-star wanted level, even if the player is already wearing the outfit.

Trivia

  • The outfit is clearly modeled after the character design of Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part III.
  • A Bank Job outfit's hockey mask, presumably belonging to Tommy or other participants of the bank heist, will appear on the coffee table in the player's Ocean View Hotel suite after completing "The Job".
  • It is also possible that the outfit is a reference to Mr. Bungle — a band that used jumpsuits and various masks as part of their live performances.
