Jesus Sentenz, known as Max, is the leader of the Avenging Angels vigilante group in Liberty City during Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The group was formed by Sentenz to fight crime in the city and are not associated with the police. Sentenz e-mails the Liberty Tree newspaper to defend the Avenging Angels, saying that they have a positive influence on the city. He admits that some mistakes have been made, citing the death of an elderly lady who they believed was a drug dealer. By 2001 the group had been banned in Liberty City. Sentenz also claims to have a blackbelt in kung fu.
