:Sorry I hadn't seen that notice. You've been our biggest contributor to this wiki, and I'm disappointed that you aren't a fan of it anymore, but I respect your right to come and go as you please. The changes are annoying, especially when we aren't consulted, and when we don't have a choice. I always wondered why you never really got involved in the 'management' of the wiki, and I never understood how you manage to make thousands of edits, but I'm grateful for what you've done, and you will always be welcome here. I would say 'keep up the good work', but that's your choice. Good luck with your university work too. ::It's not that I'm no longer a fan of the site, it's just that I can no longer be bothered to come on here each day and find that no other member of staff has marked any edits as patrolled. I then have to go through every single edit done since I last marked all the edits as patrolled. This has turned into a daily cycle, despite the influx of new staff members, who seem less active than before (in particular MattyDienhoff). Another thing that annoys me is certain users, whose edits need constant editing to either tidy up simple things (like adding a space between sentences) or spelling, which is something they can easily fix themselves. I could list at least four such members off the top of my head. | |||
::As for the changes to the MediaWiki, I definetly think that they need changing. You can no longer see, at a glance, the changes made to the article, making the above process longer and more tedious. As for the management of the wiki, it isn't really what bothers me, plus, I'm generally useless at things like that. As for my edits, I believe its around 10,500 for this wiki (including edits to image pages etc.), and over 7,000 otherwise. I will continue to make edits, just slower than before.
