I've just added references to this article and I was wondering whether there is a way to get <nowiki><ref name=2007Q4 /></nowiki> code to work, as this would limit the length of the references. Particularly since the first reference, the GTA Vice City website, is used a number of times. [[User:A-Dust|A-Dust]] 22:58, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

:I really don't think you need that many references in an article. Yes you could (if you tried) prove everything with quotes, screenshots and website links, but I don't think it is necessary unless a point is (or is likely to be) disputed. For example, Avery's name, job, mission appearances and storyline are all taken as a given - nobody can say its not true, so we don't need a reference. Even stuff like his age, his father and his hobbies/habits are not really going to be contested, so we don't need explicit proof. However (as an example) saying ''"Carrington is believed to be ... responsible for violent slum-clearances"'' is a bit less common-knowledge, so you might have a link at the bottom of the page explaining where that information is from (and only quote the link once).
:I really think that references clutter a page unnecessarily, make it harder to read and a lot longer. Unless we really need to prove that something is true, then there's no point. [[Canon]] states that anything that happened in a GTA game is true, and where a quote is sometimes necessary, we can take that as proof very easily. I just can't see anyone needing 99% of these references, so I see no point of having them there. And just because Wikipedia does it is not a valid reason :) - What are your thoughts on this? ::I have always thought that references were critical in proving information to people who have not played some of the previous games. However, I do see your point that it clutters up the article when editing. Is there a way to say, for example, leave something like <nowiki>{{note|1}}</nowiki> in the text and then have the actual reference in a separate section? :::I agree that references are a good think. But I think that it has been overdone a bit for a page so small. --[[User:Chimpso|Chimpso]] 10:07, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
== Further appearance ==
Are we not including the appearance of his corpse in the LCS mission [[Morgue Party Resurrection]]? You can see it in the back of the ambulance so technically he appears in the mission. [[User:Christophee|Christophee]] [[User talk:Christophee|(talk)]] 23:17, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
== Wig Reference in VC? ==
Is the wig reference in VC this line: "Who are these pricks anyway? Lawyer pricks, rug-wearing pricks! I'm surrounded by pricks"? --[[User:Gr8champ|Gr8champ]] 20:45, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
:Yes it is. [[User:A-Dust|A-Dust]] 21:10, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
