The family's criminal empire is based in Alderney City and Algonquin, mainly around the Little Italy area. They are apparently the weakest of the Five Families, going to the extent of hiring Albanian thugs for extra muscle. Because of this, the Ancelottis are often the target of the Pegorino Family and their hired muscle, the Irish Mob. Despite the family's small size, they still appear to be able to intimidate people, judging by some of the in game dialogue. This could be due to things that they have done in the past that remain as of yet unexplained. They also start to work with the Faustin Family, earning the wrath of the Gambetti Family, who consider it an insult to work with foreign crime syndicates. After the events of the storylines, the family is ruined. Most of the reputed members have been murdered, apart from the boss, his daughter Gracie, and made man Rocco. ==Reputed members and associates== ===Known Members=== *Giovanni Ancelotti- Boss. *Charles Matteo- Underboss. *Anthony Spoleto- Caporegrime. *Frank Garone- Caporegrime. *Rocco Pelosi- Soldier. *Vince- Enforcer. ===Associates=== *Anthony Prince- Nightclub entrepreneur. *Luis Fernando Lopez- Anthony Prince's bodyguard and business partner. *Gracie Ancelotti- Giovanni's daughter. ==Notes== The Ancelotti family may be based on the Colombo crime family, the least influent family of New York, even though the Colombos are just based in Brooklyn and don't have a heavy influence in New Jersey. Like the Colombo family the Ancelottis are one of the smaller families of New York City. ==Trivia== *It's possible the family ended after the end of Grand Theft Auto IV because Rocco left the city after Departure Time and two Capos, the Underboss and several members were killed by Niko Bellic. *During the mission Chinese Takeout, Gay Tony says they are "One of the most powerful mob families in the city", despite them ironically being the weakest. *It is possible that the buyers in the mission If the Price is Right are the Ancelottis since they are known to be in the business of dealing drugs with Dimitri Rascalov and the Russian Mafia. *The family's main/favorite car is the Cognoscenti, seen driven more by them then anybody. Gangs GTA IV Gangs

Ralph Pendelbury is a character in the 3D Universe who appears as a minor character in The Introduction for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (set in 1992). He was a member of the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums division of the Los Santos Police Department. He has no speaking role in his brief appearance.

Character history

Ralph Pendelbury was born at an unknown location in the United States of America and at an unknown time joined the Los Santos Police Department. He was later transferred to the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums division of the police force, which was being led by the corrupt Frank Tenpenny and his favourite officer Eddie Pulaski. The two had come to see their job more about 'percentages' and keeping each of the city's gang equal. Pendelbury, however, could not be corrupted by Tenpenny and Pulaski, and later began to give information about their activities to internal affairs.

Pendelbury was later removed from C.R.A.S.H., while giving evidence, and was replaced by Jimmy Hernandez, who was working undercover to gather information to back up Pendelbury's allegations. Tenpenny and Pulaski, however, decide to 'initiate' Hernandez into their criminal activities by forcing him, at gun point, to kill Pendelbury after they located him in Ocean Docks and Pulaski had badly beaten him.

The gun used to kill Pendelbury was later handed to Carl Johnson, to get his finger prints so as to hold the evidence against him, which resulted in Johnson working for the three on various occasions. These include to kill a 'cop killing' Los Santos Vagos gangster and to disrupt a meeting between the Ballas and Russian Mafia. Tenpenny and Pulaski also hired Johnson to do various jobs to save their own skin such as killing a former colleague who was giving evidence to the FBI, planting evidence in the car of DA causing his arrest by the San Fierro Police Department, killing a journalist and reporter investigating their activities and killing a DEA and FBI agent investigating their activities. The arrest of Johnson's brother, Sweet, was also used as leverage against him.

Pendelbury's testimony, alongside evidence and proof from the undercover Hernandez, was later used to arrest Tenpenny and try Pulaski in absentia (as he had already been killed by Johnson after killing Hernandez) for racketeering, corruption, narcotics and sexual assault. The trial, however, is dropped because of a lack of evidence and riots begin across Los Santos' poorer neighbourhoods, although these later subside following the death of Frank Tenpenny.
