Marty Chonks is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series who appears as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto III (set in 2001). He is the manager and possible owner of the Bitch'n' Dog Food Factory in Trenton, Portland, Liberty City. He is voiced by Chris Phillips, who also voices El Burro.

Character history

Marty Chonks was presumably born in Liberty City and later married. At an unknown point he became the manager or owner of the Bitch'n' Dog Food Factory in Trenton, Portland, Liberty City. Love Media claim on their website that they own the business, although Chonks has monetary problems caused by the factory, suggesting that he is the owner. Chonks continues to suffer from the city wide ban on dogs, which is upheld in October 2001, causing him money problems that are compounded by his wifes expensive lifestyle.

In October 2001 he employs Claude and attempts to solve his problems by murdering those causing the problems. He first has Claude drive his bank manager from the bank in Chinatown to the factory, where he is killed and turned into dog food. Two thieves, who had broken into his apartment so he could claim on the insurance, follow after they had threatened to tell the insurance company.

He next has Claude bring his wife from Classic Nails, where she is also killed, making Chonks a serial killer. Chonks then asks Claude to pick up Carl, his wifes boyfriend who he also owes money to. Chonks confronts him inside the factory grounds but is killed by Carl, tired of waiting for his money, who shoots him with a shotgun and claims to be the new owner of the factory although he can be killed by Claude.
