Dinka parodies Japanese automaker [[wp:Honda|Honda]], as components of Dinka's logo are reminiscent of the letter H which predominates Honda's logo. Dinka is also a play on "dinky", indicating a cheaply constructed small car, as these were the first vehicles that Honda and other Japanese automakers exported to the North American market in the 1970s, the Japanese have since then diversified their lineup and produced more upmarket cars. Incidentally, Dinka is the name of an [[Wikipedia:Dinka Tribe|African tribe]].
