Pool

Pool is a game/sport introduced in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and then in Grand Theft Auto IV. Two players can be play the pool and either players wins. The main goal is to get all the colored cues within the designated colors into the hole, then get the 8-Ball to win.

Objective (GTA: SA version)

In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the player can meet up a person who is holding a pool cue, and challenge him. The maximum wager is $1000. The player then begins to play pool with him, and if either colored balls or striped balls gets into the hole, then the challenger will either get striped or colored balls. If either players may accidentaly pockets the wrong cue, either players will lose a turn and then the player (who did'nt pocketed the wrong cue) can move the white cue into the designated cue. If the player pockets most of his colored balls, which the object tells him/her to do so, will not be able to win by pcocketing the 8-Ball. If the player pockets the 8-Ball, you win some money. If the opponent wins, you'll lose the game and your money that you have waged.

If playing another player with the second controller connected, they can compete against each other, except they do not wager money.

You'll Win If

• Your opponent accidentaly pockets the 8-Ball.
• You managed to pocket all colored balls, as long as the objective tells you to do so.

You'll Lose If

• Your opponent gains the upper hand.
• You have accidentaly pocketed the 8-ball without pocketing all of your main colored balls first.
• You pocketed the 8-Ball (if you have pocketed all either colored balls, where the object tells you to do so), but the white cue becomes pocketed as well.

You Lose Turn If

• You accidentaly pocket the wrong color
• You accidentaly pocket the white cue
• You hit the white cue, but too slow and has not hit any cue balls or rails
• You hit the cue balls, but has not hit any rails, because it went slow

Your Opponent Loses Turn If

• He accidentaly pocket the wrong color
• He accidentaly pocket the white cue
• He hit the white cue, but too slow and has not hit any cue balls or rails
• He hit the cue balls, but has not hit any rails, because it went slow

Objective (GTA IV version)

When you are with your friend, you can do activities when you ask him or he asks you to play pool. However, you may no longer wager with him for money. Either opponents will win if they have pocketed the most colors and then the 8-Ball.

As titled above, it is somewhat the same, but a new foul is present if the ball jumps off the table, causng either opponents to lose a turn. The player can also compete against a competitor, despite not being accompanied by a friend, but will not make any wagers.
