User:Gtabot is not an actual person, it's just a different username I use for any automated/scripted edits. The scripts do bulk-edit jobs like renaming categories, mass deletions and fixing links or syntax. The gtabot account has a "bot" flag, so the edits it makes don't show up in recent edits (unless you choose 'show bots'), that way it stops recent edits being clogged up by thousands of insignificant bot edits. The scripts need administrator access to be able to move/rename/delete pages, so that's why gtabot is an admin. Let me know if you have any questions about it - Gboyers 00:12, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

I thought that might be the reason :) But it would be better to ask a real person than a bot! If you click the staff button in the sidebar, that will tell you all the information you need to know. However, on this wiki, normal users like yourself can do most things - like editing any page, removing people's edits, recategorising and reorganising the wiki, and writing new policies. Staff only have a couple of extra tools like deleting pages and blocking users. So you can help out here without being an administrator, but if you still want to become an administrator, you'll need to show that you have helped out a lot as a normal user, and that you understand the wiki really well.
