The OFLC (Office of Film and Literature Classification) is a film, video game and literary rating system used in Australia. A very similar system is also used in New Zealand (see OFLC (NZ)). The strong censure by this film board is the refusal of classification, which means that the video game or film is banned in Australia and/or New Zealand. Games (and motion pictures) with the R18 rating can only be sold in the capital district of Australia. The ratings can differ between the Australia version and the New Zealand version. The first edition of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was refused classification, but the second edition received a MA 15+ rating, meaning no under under 15 could rent or purchase the video game.
